Handcrafted in Uganda, this fair trade basket blends timeless artisan craftsmanship with contemporary design, making it a striking addition to gallery walls, tabletops, entryways, and globally inspired home décor.
Each basket is handwoven by skilled Ugandan artisans using sustainably harvested palm raffia wrapped around coils of bukedo (banana leaf stalks). Traditionally woven for serving food, these versatile baskets have evolved into decorative pieces that work beautifully as wall baskets, fruit bowls, tabletop centerpieces, and shelf accents. Every purchase supports fair trade artisan communities while preserving generations of traditional Ugandan weaving techniques.
Available in Small (12") and Large (16"), the dramatic black and natural palette complements modern, minimalist, Scandinavian, bohemian, and global-inspired interiors. Display it individually as a statement piece or combine multiple sizes for a dramatic artisan wall arrangement.
